The programme, which is the first of its kind in the UK, was developed by Scottish Ballet in 2018, in collaboration with MS specialists, University of Florida, Georgetown University, MS Society Scotland and MS Revive.

We are seeking 2 x lead dance artists, 2 x support dance artists and 2 x musicians to undertake the following paid, freelance work:

  • Attend training in the SB Elevate™ model and structure – spring 2022 - dates and times TBC
  • Contribute to the creative content and planning of Elevate™ classes
  • Deliver Elevate™ classes in Orkney between late spring 2022 – March 2023, liaising with members of the delivery team, volunteers and other project partners
  • Attend 2-3 Elevate™ Orkney steering group meetings
  • Liaise with the Elevate™ Orkney project researcher and community researchers on an ad hoc basis
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with a range of community organisations and individuals including people living with MS and their families

Shortlisted individuals will be invited to join a practical workshop led by SB, week commencing 21 March. Dance artists will then be asked to prepare and deliver a movement-based task or exercise; Musicians will be asked to play two contrasting pieces of music.
