The Pickaquoy Centre Trust, in partnership with Orkney Islands Council, is delighted to announce that the prices for ActiveLife memberships will be frozen for the 2020-2021 financial year.
With a wide range of activities at both Picky and 11 Council-owned leisure facilities, an ActiveLife membership offers individuals and families a multitude of activities across Orkney at a great value price.
ActiveLife is also part of the LeisureLink Partnership, giving members free access to the gym, public swimming and fitness classes at leisure facilities in six additional areas across Scotland.
James Linklater, Managing Director of The Pickaquoy Centre Trust, said: "We have replaced all of our gym equipment and indoor cycling bikes with state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment within the last six months.
“Investing in the health and well-being of the people that live and visit Orkney is a top priority for us, and an ActiveLife membership, with its great value and wide range of activities, offers endless opportunities to achieve fitness goals and improve general well-being.”
Garry Burton, Sport and Leisure Manager at Orkney Islands Council, said: " Whatever your age or fitness level, and wherever you live in Orkney, access to the facilities and the range of activities is fantastic.
“With so many options available, ActiveLife’s objective of, ‘More People, More Active, More Often’ couldn’t be easier to achieve.”
An individual membership costs £22.50 per month, or £32.50 per month for a family membership.
Islanders can also take out an ActiveIslands membership (£12.50 per month for an individual or £17.50 per month for a family) which gives islanders access to leisure facilities and fitness classes on their specific island.
In addition, there is a Budget Membership available at a cost of 50p per activity for those that qualify.
