The Picky Café will undergo redevelopment work and therefore close for a few weeks next month.
Working in partnership with Orkney Islands Council, the café will undergo a number of exciting developments over this period.
The closure is due to reconfiguration and refurbishment works within both the kitchen and front of house areas, and will be carried out over a three-week period starting on Monday 2 March until Sunday 22 March inclusive.
James Linklater, Managing Director of The Pickaquoy Centre, said: “Following a 12-month review of the Café, we have decided to put significant investment into this area with the hope that our new offering will be simplified and streamlined to meet the needs of our valued customers.
“We will be changing our delivery model, reminding ourselves, that we are a café in a leisure centre, as well as investing heavily in training and customer service delivery to improve our offering to users.
“In addition, following feedback received in our most recent customer survey, we will be reviewing opening times to better meet customer expectations.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate our customer’s patience. We hope that everyone sees improvement to this Pickaquoy Centre service in the near future.”
Picky Café will reopen to the public on Monday, 23 March.
