Enjoy a joyful celebration of local archive film, held in memory of legendary former Phoenix Cinema projectionist Billy Scollie.
This year’s programme features a wide range of local films, including:
- The 25th Anniversary of the Riding of the Marches.
- The Unveiling of the Kirkwall war Memorial in June 1954 by Mrs Annie Tait of St Olaf's Wynd, Kirkwall
- A changing climate? Various scenes from over the years featuring snow and the 1953 and 1958 gales.
- The 1953 Police Ball.
- A service at the Italian Chapel from the late 1950s or early 60s
- Mannequin Parade 1957.
- An equestrian Event at Scapa 1987, celebrating the 850th anniversary of St Magnus Cathedral.
- The opening of the Tower Showroom by Jo Grimond in 1960.
- The Annual Bull Sale from 1958.

This event will include an interval with tea, coffee and biscuits provided (included in the ticket price), and of course there will be a Raffle! All tickets £7.50, £5.50 concessions.
