Changes to the Main and Leisure Pool

Wednesday, October 6, 2021

We are delighted that as of Thursday 7th October the swimming pool operations and sessions will be returning similar to those pre-covid. Please read the following information to familiarise yourselves with the changes:

Advanced booking will no longer be available and customers should check-in at reception. Here they will be allocated a wrist band that must be worn whilst using the wet-side facilities. Please continue to use the one-way system throughout the centre whilst making your way to and from the wet-side facilities. There will be sign in/out forms or a Scottish Government QR code at the entrance to the village change for track and trace purposes, please ensure you complete on each visit.

There will be no checking in by pool staff or the requirement to arrive at the start of sessions. The sessions will change as per the pool timetable which we would request all customers to familiarise themselves with prior to their visit. Please click the link to view the timetables

Group X classes (Aqua Zumba, Aqua Zumba Light and Aqua Natal) can still be booked in advance online, Aqua Walking does not require advanced booking.

The village changing room will return to all cubicles being available, belongings must be stored in the lockers provided during your session time (lockers require £1 or similar tokens available at reception, these are refundable).

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind our customers of the pool's admission policy.

Main Pool

  • Public Sessions will return to having a shallow and deep end with the deep-end being available for competent swimmers only (please ask the lifeguards if you require to do a deep-end test). Please note some sessions will vary in depth
  • Lane Swimming will return to single lanes and will have slow/medium/fast paced lanes and will follow a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction of travel. Please read the notice boards in place and view the Lane Swimming etiquette guidance.
  • Family Sessions will operate at 1.0m depth across the pool and will include floats and toys

Leisure Pool

  • Public Sessions will be as before with features available along with floats and toys

Please look on our timetable for further session descriptions.

Hair-Dryers will be in operation and require 20p for use.

All showers are available with use of shampoo and gels allowed, however, we do appreciate if customers can minimise their time spent in the village change where possible.

We will continue to operate an enhanced cleaning programme utilising anti-covid electro-static cleaning combined with regular touch-point cleaning throughout the day. In addition to this we will operate a daily break in the timetable allowing staff to undertake a ‘Deep Clean’ to a greater depth. Whilst there is no physical distancing legally required we do ask customers to be respectful of each other’s personal space given the expected increase in user numbers.

The Health Suite will remain closed at present although we do hope to have this open for use in the very near future.

We are delighted to be able to offer greater use of the wet-side facilities and we very much appreciate your patience and understanding over the past 11 months since we reopened the facility.
