Duty Manager

Overview:
We are looking for a Duty Manager to join our management team and assist in delivering the daily operation of the Pickaquoy Centre to the highest possible standard.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate should have previous operational and supervisory experience, and experience of working in the sport and leisure industry, but we're open to talking to you about the experience you can bring to the role. The role requires an individual that can be a leader as well as a team player. You must have excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills with the ability to motivate a team using a positive and supportive approach.

This role is eligible for interview expenses (for travel to/from Orkney, but within the UK).

Swimming Instructor

£14.50 per hour - UKCC Level 1 Qualified

Casual (as required on a rota and swim-term basis)
Overview:
We are looking to add to our team of Swimming Instructors, this role is perfect for those keen to work flexible working hours with lessons spread throughout the week including daytime, after school, evening and weekends.
Swimming Instructors will be responsible for teaching a co-ordinated programme which aims to develop the fundamental skills of swimming within the Centre's children learn to swim programme, adult swim classes, and specific user group sessions.
The successful applicant must hold the Scottish Swimming Teaching Qualification (SSTQ). Full training will be provided if not currently held - please see course dates in the supplementary information below, 100% attendance to all training sessions is mandatory for the SSTQ course.
