The Pickaquoy Centre Trust is excited to announce a new sponsorship programme available to athletes across Orkney.
The Picky Sponsorship Programme, which replaces the previous sponsorship scheme, will award ten athletes an ActiveLife membership giving them unlimited access to The Pickaquoy Centre and all 11 Council owned leisure facilities across the islands.
The membership will be eligible for 12 months, offering successful applicants the same benefits that paying members receive.
Sponsorship will be allocated through an application process, with athletes required to evidence their commitment to their chosen sport and outline how the support would improve their performance and help them meet their objectives.
James Linklater, Managing Director of The Pickaquoy Centre, said: “We are delighted to launch this new sponsorship programme. As a trust, we are committed to the support and development of athletes across the community.
“The array of activities that an ActiveLife membership provides is fantastic for any athlete, and having unlimited access to Orkney’s excellent facilities provides sports people with a real opportunity to improve their training regimes and hopefully reach their full potential.
“There is amazing talent in Orkney across a wide range of sport and ages, and we encourage anyone who feels this kind of support would help them achieve their goals to apply.”
To be considered for the programme, applications must be received no later than Friday, 7 June 2019.
An application form and guidance can be downloaded from the Picky Sponsorship Programme page on our website.
